Joe, born and raised on Staten Island, NY, studied at The High School of Art and Design and earned a BFA from Parsons. Since 1974, he has worked as an illustrator for major magazines, newspapers, corporate clients, book publishers, and record companies. His notable clients include The New Yorker, Rolling Stone, and the US Postal Service. Joe has received numerous awards, including four silver medals from the Society of Illustrators and their Hamilton King Award in 2016. He has been featured in exhibitions, profiled in industry journals, and has published several books of his work, including "A FISTFUL OF DRAWINGS" in 2019. Beyond his artistic career, Joe is also a drummer performing with blues and jazz bands, and currently resides in western New Jersey.
